Participatory Sculpture.

Play is important.

Participatory Sculptures encourage play and social interaction. I believe that the activity of play is extremely important, especially as adult lives get busier and this act gets disregarded. Through providing simple, modular shapes the viewer is invited to move, build and create their own sculptures.

Portholes.

Portholes in a participatory sculpture inspired by the architecture of MK Gallery. The participatory sculpture promotes play and social interaction; inviting the audience to create patterns, cityscapes, roadmaps with the possibilities being endless.

Corners.

Corners is a participatory artwork that encourages play and social interaction. The bright colours evoke the sense of childlike play but this artwork is intended to be used by anyone of any age. The simple corner shape in three consecutive sizes offer a variety of composition, arrangements and stacking. The right angle is reflects in the shapes seen with Lasdun's Ziggarats and Foster's Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.

Participation Blocks.

Participation Blocks explores the hierarchical status between artist, audience and gallery, questioning control and power, in particular the commonplace rule of 'Do not touch.'
